Indian Oil (IOCL) Interview Experience

My interview was in Gurgaon. IOCL selection process has 3 parts

  • GD
  • GT(Group Task)
  • Interview


GD+GT=5 %
Gate Score = 85 %
Interview = 10 %

There are 2 types of Jobs :

  • Officer(Marketing/Refienry/Pipeline)
  • GAE( 1 Year Training then converted into Officer)
GD+GT and Interview processes are Random , ie, for some people GD+GT can happen first and for some Interview . I was the first person to be interviewed and It lasted for about  10 Minutes
Questions :

  1. Rank + score ?
  2. difference b/w centrifugal and reciprocating pumps?
  3. NPSH
  4. Who is going to be the most probable next president
  5. +His history  little bit like he was previous governor of Bihar
  6. A few current affairs


Then comes the GD+ GT part, they both happen one after another ! 15 Minutes each
GD Topic : can a person working in private sector do social work ?
GT : Oil spill has happened somewhere . How will your team deal with it ?

(Veg+ NonVeg)Lunch was also provided along with Ice-Cream - TASTY !

    Hello Sir , I lost my IOCL registration number and my IOCL Results of interview round has been declared. So please tell me how can i download my result without registration number?

    Ahh... what a wonderful and pleasing post this is. It is a very good post. It pleases the eyes so much. I am simply so happy after reading this article that I just want to party all night.
